Fabric or vinyl? Choosing the right large-format medium
Large-format print lives or dies by substrate choice.
Sublimated polywoven fabric is light, folds without creasing, and swallows seams in tension frames — ideal for exhibition walls, lightboxes and anything that travels. Vinyl is the workhorse for flat, wet or high-touch surfaces: hoardings, floors, vehicles and glazing.
The rule of thumb: if it needs to glow, breathe or ship, go fabric. If it needs to grip, survive or wrap, go vinyl. Either way, colour management decides whether your red is *your* red.
